Dr. Cox has practiced in this location since 1998, following his retirement from the U.S. Army. Dr. Cox graduated from UT Arlington in 1969 and then entered active duty in the Army as a field artillery officer. He resigned his commission in 1973 to pursue a career in dentistry. He graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry, Dallas, in 1978. Returning to the Army, he served as a general dentist for 4 years and then completed his pediatric dentistry residency at UT Health Science Center, San Antonio, in 1985. He completed the arduous requirements for board certification from the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry in 1991. Dr. Cox remained on active duty as a pediatric dentist until his retirement in 1998.
He maintains medical staff privileges with Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center as well as certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support. Dr. Cox is an active member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Texas Association of Pediatric Dentists.
He and his wife, Julia, have been blessed with 3 children and 11 grandchildren. |
